A four course, progressive evening of food, libation and music along historic North Union Street in Kennett Square, PA all to benefit The Kennett Flash!

Take a break from the season’s hustle and bustle and enjoy a delightful evening of food, libation and music at four of Kennett Square’s architectural gems with your guide, local architect and musician Dennis Melton.

Your evening begins at the historic Brosius house at 119 E. Linden Street, where your hosts, Gilmore & Associates will welcome you with cocktails*, hors d’oeuvres by Nourish and entertainment by Kennett Square Native, Guitarist Mark Unruh.

From there, you’ll stroll to 206 N. Union Street, home of Melton Architects where you will enjoy Kennett Inn’s famous Mushroom Soup, champagne and fingerstyle guitar by Christie Lenée.

Your dinner stop is the newly renovated Chalfont House at 220 N. Union Street where you’ll feast on Portabello’s award-winning cuisine with paired wines and the music of the Sin City Band’s Scott Birney as guests of Century 21 Pierce & Bair.

The evening ends on a sweet note at 242 N. Union Street where hosts Marlene & Don Robinson will offer a selection of teas from Mrs. Robinson’s Tea Shop and dessert from Sweet Magnolia Bakery. Matt Seiver will round out the evening’s entertainment.

The Merry Movable Feast offers two seating times: 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm for up to 24 participants per seating. Tickets are $100 per person and benefit The Kennett Flash.

*Non-alcoholic beverages are also available at each of the locations.

Christie Lenée is the 2017 International Fingerstyle Guitar Champion. Her unique guitar work is often compared to visionaries like Michael Hedges, Joni Mitchell and Dave Matthews, delivering profound instrumental compositions with heartfelt, consciously uplifting songs. Christie's pieces have been showcased at the NAMM Show in Anaheim and Nashville, live on National Television and Radio, on stage with artists such as Tim Reynolds (guitarist for Dave Matthews Band), Andy McKee, Tommy Emmanuel, Amy Ray from the Indigo Girls and Stanley Jordan to name a few. Her most recent album “STAY” was one of three finalists for “Best CD of 2016” (Indie Acoustic Project Awards), including the song “Love Who You Are” nominated for a 2016 Posi Award in the category “Songs for Personal Transformation.”

Matt Sevier is an accomplished singer, songwriter, and guitarist who has shared the stage with legendary and diverse musicians such as The Band, Jackson Browne, Graham Parker, Matthew Sweet, The Roots, and many more. A versatile and enthusiastic live performer, Sevier used his successful debut CD and Sony publishing contract to launch a career which has included overlapping turns as a solo troubadour, rock bandleader, jazz singer, children's entertainer, music teacher, and lead guitarist in a high-energy show band. After briefly retiring to tend to family duties, Sevier is back writing, recording, playing solo shows and is currently the lead singer of the popular Steely Dan tribute band Countdown to Ecstasy. His new album of original music, featuring contributions from Pete Donnelly, Joe Nicolo, Fred Berman, Dave Uosikkinen and more will be released in early 2018.

Mark Unruh
A native of Kennett Square, Mark has been active in the local music scene as a performer and educator for more than 3 decades bringing a down-home feel to his shows. He has a unique connection to The Flash whereas its namesake, the infamous “Sandy Flash”, used as a hideout a cave on the edge of Willowbrook Farm where Mark was raised.

Join this award-winning multi-instrumentalist for a night of blues, folk, bluegrass, originals, classical, a few tales of history and adventure and maybe a tune or two on the horn.
