An Evening of Guitar with MURIEL ANDERSON and Special Guests Tim Farrell and Dave Feder
One of the world’s foremost fingerstyle guitarists and harp-guitarists, Muriel Anderson is the first woman to have won the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship. Her CD “Nightlight Daylight” has won top honors in 11 national awards, including one of the top 10 CDs of the decade by Guitar Player Magazine. She has performed/recorded with Chet Atkins, Les Paul, Victor Wooten and the Nashville Chamber Orchestra. Her obvious joy of music, humor and her facility across the genres of folk, classical, jazz, bluegrass and international music is revered by guitarists worldwide. An engaging performer, Muriel’s unique approach to the instrument virtually transforms the guitar into a lyrical choir, then a marching band, then a Japanese koto, then a Bluegrass band, one minute launching into a Beatles’ tune and the next, a Rodrigo concerto. Muriel is host of the renowned Muriel Anderson’s ALL STAR GUITAR NIGHT® and founder of the MUSIC FOR LIFE ALLIANCE charity. Muriel Anderson’s renowned guitar and harp guitar playing is highlighted by a backdrop of stunning visuals by celebrated photo-artist and cinematographer Bryan Allen. Her current show includes music inspired by the Eclipse, and then brings you with them on a journey around the world in music, stories and images.

Dave Feder has carved out a niche of his own, playing a signature blend of Flamenco-infused Folk music. His laid back style easily disguises the complexity of his blazingly deft finger picking. Three decades of island-living in the Florida Keys has influenced Feder’s breezy, approachable, and sophisticated music.. His musicianship incorporates miles of style, (savvy yet innocent, intelligent yet accessible) woven into a personal journey telling stories about life through the strings of his guitar. Feder has been praised by NPR’s All Songs Considered, World Café Live, PBS Art Loft, NPR’s Folk & Acoustic Music, The Miami Herald and Time Out magazine among others. Feder spent six weeks at the top of the Broadjam World Music Chart with his critically acclaimed album “Black Emerald” and has been featured on All My Children (ABC), Art Loft (PBS), the NBC Good Morning show, National Park Service Educational Videos, and Florida Everglades Documentaries. Feder is a founding member ICE — a 501C3—that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships for students pursuing arts, music and dance. As a champion of the local arts world in the Keys, Feder produces the Florida Keys Bay Jam, a music festival that raises money for local high School Arts and Music Grants. Bay Jam is celebrating its 23rd year.
