Lisa Jeanette

Chasing Happy is singer-songwriter Lisa Jeanette’s debut album. Born and raised in Philadelphia, the youngest of nine, Lisa took to timesharing her siblings’ guitars. Her high school orchestra instrument, the double bass, led her to Temple University, where she studied with Henry Scott, bassist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, and earned a Bachelor’s of Music in Performance. Lisa currently plays with Main Line Symphony Orchestra, and plays bass on several tracks here.

Lisa Jeanette’s songwriting influences include Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Billy Joel, Elton John, Harry Chapin, Cat Stevens, Fleetwood Mac, and Genesis. This debut album is a testament that Chasing Happy can turn to simply enjoying happiness wherever it leads.
