About the Host:
Mike McDevitt Music is a Delaware-based singer/songwriter performing regularly in the tri-state area. He has recently released a new album of original music, Delaware Bay, which features full band accompaniment, including classical violin on 6 songs. The album is receiving considerable praise from both local music fans and critics and some of his songs have been heard on the radio, locally and nationally. Mike has performed with a number of bands over the years but has been mostly a
solo performer for the last 10 or so years. His songs are often as described as “hauntingly beautiful and accessible chronicles of meeting life’s challenges head on, of self-discovery, of love lost, found and lost again.” Mike is a self-taught guitarist and vocalist and has a reputation as a storyteller. McDevitt’s songs tell real stories about real people. He has been singing and playing since “going public” in college and “songwriting came a little later when I realized I had an ability to capture something deeply personal and share it others.”
