If you are a solo, duo or band that is new to performing live (1-2 years) and you are interested in being considered for the contest, please complete and submit our 2024 Summer Sounds Google Form to apply for the series!
APPLICATION DEADLINE IS APRIL 30th!!!
This series is designed to highlight new local artists and provide a professional venue to showcase their talent as they compete in a Battle of the Bands style format show. Bands must be new to performing with less than 1-2 years of live performance experience.
The series will feature three (3) semi-final rounds, and one final round where our three (3) finalists will compete for:
- a $400 grand prize (sponsored by The Mattock School of Music) and
- a chance to headline your own performance at The Kennett Flash!
Twelve (12) semi-final bands and alternates will be chosen by the Kennett Flash staff.
Winners are chosen by a panel of judges made up of artists, volunteers, board and staff.
For the semi-final rounds, each artist will perform 4 songs.
For the final round, each artist will perform for 30 minutes.
